Job Title: Credit Control Officer Employment Type: Full-Time Location: Baghdad & Erbil Company: Bahari Kar Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Credit Control Officer to join our team in Baghdad and Erbil. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, reconciling balances, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining compliance with company credit policies. Key Responsibilities • Reconcile customer balances and investigate discrepancies such as data entry errors, unpaid invoices, unauthorized discounts, and unprocessed returns. • Submit daily reports to the direct manager regarding customer visits and collection activities. • Coordinate with customers to confirm balances and resolve account-related issues professionally. • Achieve assigned collection targets and performance goals. • Support improvements in collection procedures and help reduce bad debts. • Review samples of free cash van invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Process write-offs for damaged goods at customer locations according to company policies. • Participate in annual inventory committees and required stock counts. • Ensure customers and sales representatives follow the company’s credit and collection policies. Qualifications & Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. • 2–3 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar role. • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills. • Excellent communication and negotiation skills. • Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Willingness to travel within the assigned area (Baghdad or Erbil).
