Job Description: As a GPS Solutions Engineer with Software Expertise at FIS, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful installation and integration of our GPS hardware solutions. You will work closely with clients to install GPS devices, configure software applications, and provide ongoing support to ensure optimal performance. Key Responsibilities: GPS Hardware Installation: Install and configure GPS hardware devices in various types of vehicles and equipment, ensuring proper connections and functionality. Software Configuration: Handle web-based applications and software tools to configure and customize GPS tracking solutions based on client requirements. Client Training: Provide training to clients and end-users on how to use GPS hardware and software effectively. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted service for clients. Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks and tests on GPS hardware installations to ensure accuracy and reliability. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of installation and configuration processes, including client-specific settings. Technical Support: Offer technical support to clients through phone, email, or on-site visits as needed. Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales and customer support teams to ensure a smooth transition from product sale to installation and support. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest GPS hardware and software technologies and incorporate best practices into installations. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Proven experience in GPS hardware installation and software configuration. Familiarity with web-based applications and software tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and client-facing skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: Certification in GPS technology or related field. Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software.
