We're Hiring: Mechanical Supervisor / Mechanical Engineer Location: Arbat Industrial Zone, Sulaymaniyah, Iraq Reports To: Plant Manager Vacancy: 1 Position Schedule: 6 days/week, 8 hours/day About the Role World Acid is seeking a skilled Mechanical Supervisor / Mechanical Engineer to oversee the maintenance and reliability of equipment used in sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid production. The successful candidate will lead maintenance operations, ensure safety compliance, manage resources, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Supervise maintenance teams and equipment servicing activities • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards • Manage spare parts inventory, maintenance tools, and resources • Train and mentor maintenance personnel • Monitor maintenance budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities • Maintain maintenance records, reports, and equipment history • Support continuous improvement projects and emergency response activities Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field • 3+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment • Strong knowledge of sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid production equipment • Familiarity with chemical industry safety standards and procedures • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills • Proficiency in English Preferred • Experience with CMMS systems • Experience in preventive and predictive maintenance programs • Relevant maintenance or chemical handling certifications Apply Now: [email protected] Contact: +964 771 082 8482 Please use "Mechanical Supervisor / Mechanical Engineer" as the email subject line.
