Position Description: The Supply Chain Manager with Customs Clearance expertise will be responsible to oversee the coordination of our supply chain operations in Kurdistan and other parts of Iraq and will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain process, from procurement to delivery, while ensuring compliance with local customs regulations and requirements. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the following: Develop and implement supply chain strategies and policies that ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to customers in Iraq. Manage all aspects of the supply chain process, including procurement, transportation, inventory management, and warehousing. Ensure compliance with local customs regulations and requirements, including obtaining necessary permits, licenses, and certifications. Liaise with local authorities and regulatory agencies to resolve any customs-related issues and ensure smooth clearance of goods through customs. Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and logistics providers, ensuring that they meet our quality and delivery standards. Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of the supply chain, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures. Manage the supply chain budget and ensure that all expenditures are within the approved limits. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, logistics providers, and customers. Desired Professional Competencies: Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on customs clearance in Iraq. Strong knowledge of local customs regulations and requirements, as well as experience liaising with local authorities and regulatory agencies. Experience in negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers and logistics providers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address supply chain issues. Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver results within the approved limits. Proficiency in English and Arabic languages. Availability to travel within Iraq as needed. Working Conditions: The supply chain managers may work in both office and field environments, as they may be required to visit supplier facilities or offshore oil and gas rigs to oversee the delivery and installation of equipment and supplies and may also be required to work extended hours or be on-call to manage unexpected supply chain issues or emergencies.
