Job Title: Elevator Maintenance Engineer Job Summary Smithson is looking for a qualified Elevator Maintenance Engineer, to work with our team in Ninawa. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and skills in mechanical/electrical/Control engineering. Work duration will be based on mission. Below is a summary of the responsibilities and qualifications. Responsibilities • display the process of installation of elevators, mechanical walkways, and escalators; • teach ways of Responding to mechanical failures and system malfunctions; • instruct on how to Install and test electrical systems; • train on Servicing and maintaining machine parts; • identify ways of Repairing or replacing system parts; • show how to perform Oiling and greasing to moving parts; • show how to carry out safety checks; • maintaining a clean working area. Requirements • proven expertise as a trainer in the mentioned field; • holding a minimum BSc degree in engineering, technical or science with an exception for technical institute diploma holders with at least 15 years of practical experience; • written and oral proficiency in Arabic, English is a plus; • relevant mechanical certification; • previous work experience as an elevator mechanic; • advanced knowledge of elevator systems, mechanical walkways, and escalators; • ability to read and interpret blueprints; • ability to troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions; • physically fit and able to lift heavy objects; • ability to work independently.
