Job Opportunity: Procurement Officer Company: Taurus Arm for Power Generation Location: Bazian ,Sulaymaniyah Application Link: https://careers.taurusenergy.com/job/Procurement-Officer/732433822/ About the Role Taurus Arm for Power Generation is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to support our international sourcing and procurement operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring procurement activities are conducted in line with corporate objectives, delivering value through strategic sourcing, supplier performance management, and contractual compliance. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role requires close coordination with internal departments and external vendors to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and services that meet the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including RFQs, RFPs, RFIs, ITTs, and contract execution. • Conduct supplier evaluations, risk assessments, and commercial negotiations in alignment with company policies and compliance requirements. • Coordinate tendering processes, prepare evaluation reports, and support internal bid committee documentation. • Monitor and report on procurement activities and supplier performance. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, supplier databases, and approved vendor lists. • Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, operations, logistics, and engineering teams. • Support continuous improvement and cost-efficiency initiatives across procurement functions. Qualifications & Experience • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or a electrical Engineering •A CIPS certification is a strong advantage. • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in procurement within the Oil & Gas or Energy sector, or 4 years in a similar role across other industries. • Skills: o Strong understanding of international procurement terms and Incoterms. o Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Maximo, or equivalent) and MS Office Suite. o Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. • Languages: Fluency in English and Kurdish is required; working knowledge of Arabic is preferred. • Other Requirements: Ability to travel as required.
