Job Title: PS Cashier Reports to: PS Coordinator Location:60 Meter Road, Mamostayan Qr., Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq Position Overview: Patient services cashier is responsible for handling all payments made by patients and visitors requesting services at MDC. Responsibilities, Duties, and Accountabilities: • Receive payments based on invoices created during registration • Make sure the cash received throughout the day is balanced with the number of services requested. • Receive, check and approve HLS payments • Track unpaid invoices and give reminders to PS management about them • Coordinate with Finance director over daily work issues regarding accounting. • Filter and check invoices created during patient registration and give feedback to PS technician about mistakes they find. • Report patient registration mistakes to the QA in the PS department. • Give directions to patients about what to do post payment • Hand out tokens for patients requiring nursing and phlebotomy procedures. • Establish a high-quality level of communications with patient. • Handle patient complaints that might take place during payment. • Report periodic feedback to PS management regarding the cashiering service. Required Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: Education BSc or Master’s degree in finance/accounting or related fields Experience Minimum 1 year employment in relevant fields Language Fluency in written and oral Kurdish, Arabic and English Work Hours 36 hours per week Unique requirements of the job 1. Flexibility in working hours and able to work in both morning and evening shifts 2. Self-motivated, pro-active in dealing with issues, logical thinker with eye for detail and willingness to learn 3. Numerate and IT literate with basic working knowledge of MS office tools 4. Have the ability to learn and adapt quickly 5. Be able to communicate efficiently with patients and colleagues to achieve the desired results.
