MDC in Erbil is seeking an HR Officer to manage recruitment processes, update job descriptions, and handle induction and resignation procedures. The role involves reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and ensuring compliance with HR policies.

Job Title: HR Officer Reports to: Human Resources Manager Location: 60 Meter Road, Mamostayan Qr., Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq Position Overview: Under overall supervision of the HR Manager, the HR Officer is responsible for effective follow up and implementation of human resources activities, policies and procedures. The HR Officer is responsible to seek out and hire professionals with the right combination of experience, education and skills to fill a particular position. She/ He is also responsible for daily tasks assigned by the HR manager Responsibilities, Duties, and Accountabilities: Recruitment process: ● Responsible for recently vacated vacancies within MDC. ● Responsible for constantly updating job descriptions. ● Co-operating with marketing department to post vacancies on social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, MDC page, etc. ● Reviewing each application, eliminating any candidate who does not meet the minimum requirements for the position and shortlisting the others. ● Performing in-person interviews or online if living abroad with the short-listed applicants. ● Preparing tests for the candidate to take and record the data on the system. ● Responsible for giving the offer. Induction Process ● Reviewing each point with the new candidate according to the induction process of MDC. ● Making sure all necessary documents are provided and to go through all MDC rules and regulations carefully. Resignation & Termination Process ● Applying all the steps of MDC HR termination and resignation checklists. Department daily tasks: ● Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. ● Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records. ● Assists with planning and execution of special events. ● Assisting in monthly payroll preparation. ● Track and manage attendance records, overtime sheets, leave records, visas, permits, contract expires. ● Staff relation. ● Involved in all tax and social security process. ● Assisting in all governmental processes. ● Performs other duties as assigned. Required Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: Education: Bachelor degree in Business Administration / Management / Any other related area Experience: ● Minimum 2 years of corporate employment ● Employment in human resource related fieldnce of providing information in a clear and concise manner in a customer or patient related role Language: ● Fluency in written and oral English ● Fluency in written and oral Kurdish ● Fluency in written and oral Arabic is advantageous Working Hours: 40 hours per week Unique requirements of the job: ● Self-motivated, pro-active in dealing with issues, logical thinker with eye for details and willingness to learn ● Numerate and IT literate with excellent working knowledge of MS office tools especially MS Excel ● Punctual and works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines ● Effective HR administration and people management skills to include written and verbal communication skills ● Exposure to payroll practices ● Full understanding of HR functions and best practices ● Organizational and time management skills. ● Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. ● Meticulous attention to detail.
