VARA Machinery is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee end-to-end logistics operations, including international imports, warehouse management, and last-mile delivery. Job Opportunity: Logistics Manager (Heavy Machinery & Equipment) Location: Erbil, Iraq – HQ Industry: Heavy Machinery, Industrial & Technical Equipment About the Role: VARA Machinery is seeking an experienced and strategic Logistics Manager to lead end-to-end logistics operations from international imports to warehouse management and last-mile delivery. This leadership role is critical to ensuring cost-efficient, compliant, and timely movement of equipment while driving process excellence and team performance. Key Responsibilities: • Lead international import logistics in coordination with Procurement and overseas suppliers • Manage shipping arrangements, customs documentation, compliance, and clearing agents • Plan and optimize inbound transportation from ports to warehouses • Supervise warehouse operations: receiving (ACR), inspection, storage, dispatch • Ensure accurate records in WMS / Odoo ERP and enforce best warehouse practices • Control inventory levels, conduct audits and cycle counts, manage loss & damage claims • Coordinate customer equipment delivery, upgrades/downgrades, and configuration records • Oversee logistics costing and accurate landing cost calculation in collaboration with Finance • Lead and develop logistics teams (specialists, coordinators, drivers) • Set KPIs, improve processes, and report performance to senior management Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field • 6–8 years of hands-on logistics experience (imports, warehousing, inventory, team leadership) • Strong knowledge of international trade, customs, and import/export documentation • Proficient in Odoo ERP / WMS or similar logistics systems • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, operational environment Preferred: • Experience with heavy machinery or industrial equipment logistics • Knowledge of logistics safety and compliance standards • Strong cross-functional coordination with Procurement, Operations, and Finance Send your CV to: [email protected] Email Subject: Logistics Manager – Erbil HQ – VARA Machinery #All_Kurdistan_Jobs
