📢 We Are Hiring – LOTO Engineer (Lockout/Tagout Engineer) for Solar PV Project 📍 Location: Basra, Iraq 🏢 Company: CEEC International Engineering Co., Ltd. 🔋 Project: 1GW Solar Photovoltaic Project (Owner: TotalEnergies, France) LOTO Engineer (Lockout/Tagout Engineer) Purpose: Implement and manage Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe energy isolation during the testing, commissioning, and energization of solar PV electrical systems, in compliance with project HSE requirements and international safety standards. Key Requirements: • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field • 5+ years of experience in electrical isolation, LOTO operations, or commissioning within power plants, substations, or industrial EPC projects • Strong knowledge of LOTO procedures, Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, and electrical safety standards • Familiarity with solar PV electrical systems, including inverters, transformers, MV/LV switchgear, and substations • Ability to read and interpret electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), isolation plans, and technical drawings • Experience in electrical testing, commissioning, energization, and hazardous energy control • Good understanding of OSHA, NFPA 70E, and relevant IEC standards • Strong coordination and communication skills in English Key Responsibilities: • Implement and monitor LOTO procedures during testing, commissioning, and energization activities • Identify hazardous energy sources and verify electrical isolation points in accordance with approved procedures • Coordinate with PTW Coordinators, Commissioning Engineers, and HSE teams to ensure safe execution of work • Prepare and maintain LOTO registers, isolation certificates, and relevant documentation • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with LOTO requirements and electrical safety procedures • Support safe equipment energization, de-energization, and restoration activities • Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and LOTO safety training • Identify and report unsafe conditions and ensure corrective actions are implemented 📌 Nationality Requirement: This position is open to Iraqi nationals only. Candidates from Basra will be given preference. 📌 Preferred Experience: Previous experience in international EPC projects, particularly solar PV plants, substations, or power plant commissioning, is highly desirable.
